Valtos Beach
DESCRIPTION:
This picturesque beach is the diamond of Parga and locals are really proud of its natural beauty and majestic view. It is true that its spectacular scenery has been a rich source of inspiration for painters and photographers. Also it is widely admitted that Valtos beach is among the most famous beaches in the whole Greece for its silken, sand and crystal clear water .This sandy and pebbly beach with deep water is located behind the Venetian Castle of Parga and is within fifteen minutes walking distance of the town of Parga .Valtos beach is accessible by boat, by car, by bicycle, by motorbike and on foot .To continue with, Valtos Beach is a well organized beach with a wide range of water sport activities such as water skiing, jet skiing, wind surfing, diving, scuba diving, paragliding and banana. Therefore this beach is a particular favourite of tourists.
The visitors of Valtos beach never get bored even though are not in favour of extreme sports because they can rent a parasol and a sun lounger and enjoy sunbathing on the beach or reading a book under the shadow
There are also the the exciting possibilities of renting a pedalo or a canoe in order the visitors to explore the Ionian Sea.
In conclusion Valtos beach is surrounded by several restaurants ,cafes and tavernas which offer their services during the day in a friendly way. There is no adequate nightlife.
How to reach the beach:
By small Boat from Parga's harbour.
By car in few minutes
With a motor bike and even with a bicycle.
By walk from Parga in approximately 20 minutes walk.

In Valtos beach ,you can find everything .It is a very well organized beach.
It is worth to visit:
The Monastery (of Vlaherenon) above Valtos beach .Walking distance up the hill 15 minutes.
The small church of Agios Spyridonas in the end of end of the beach
The small harbour in the end of the beach with some traditional fishing boats.
